Any
division with less than 5 contestants may be moved
to an appropriate age/weight division. Contestants
and/or coaches will be notified. The tournament
director reserves the right to make any changes
necessary in the best interest of safety and fair
competition.
COMPETITION
FORMAT
Double elimination procedures will be used. A
non-black belt waiver will be available for competitors
13 years & above.
MATCH
TIME
Juniors, Novice, and Masters 3 minutes. Senior
Brown & Black Belts 5 minutes.
RULES
Modified
IJF rules for both male and female competition.
No chokes and arm locks permitted in the 12 and
below divisions. No arm locks permitted in the
16 and under divisions, or in the Novice divisions.
This
tournament will be using the modified contest
rules of the International Judo Federation, which
permits reduction of safety areas and the common
safety areas when two or more competition areas
are utilized. (2.5 meters (8'2") safety area
and 3 meters (9'8") for common areas.)
Match
Time: Juniors, Novice, and Masters 3
minutes. Senior Brown & Black Belts 5 minutes.
AWARDS
Championship
Banner Now Awarded to Team with Most Points!
Gold, Silver
and Bronze medals will be awarded for each division.
Winners must be in complete regulation judo uniforms
to accept awards.
