Athlete Residency Policy

National Congress of State Games, the membership organization of the California State Games, has amended its residency requirement to allow non-resident participation in State Games events by residents of states that do not have a State Games program and residents of states whose State Games program does not offer their sport.  California State Games has agreed to allow non-resident participation in both situations listed above.

Insurance Coverage

The California State Games has a General Liability Policy for the Games. This insurance covers medical costs only when accident or injury is caused by our negligence. It is expressly understood that this insurance does not cover property loss or damage to the participant or medical costs if an accident or injury occurs during the normal routine of competition or during travel to and from competition.
EACH PARTICIPANT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS/HER OWN MEDICAL INSURANCE
